The city of Huntingburg is wrapping up its final Stellar Communities project after receiving the designation in 2014.
Mayor Denny Spinner say the designation has spurred more than $50 million in development.
The city says the funding for the projects came from local, state and private sources. Some of the projects included the Market Street Park, the 4th Street Heritage Trail, and the $20 million Hunter’s Crossing residential development.
Lieutenant Governor Suzanne Crouch and Indiana Department of Transportation Commissioner Joe McGuinness will be on hand for the ceremony.
Spinner will talk more about the Stellar Communities effort and what’s next for the city on this weekend’s edition of Inside INdiana Business with Gerry Dick.
