New Senior Living Community to Open in Mishawaka

Inc. is preparing to open a new, multi-million-dollar senior living community in Mishawaka. The company says, when fully occupied, Hellenic Senior Living will create 55 full-time and part-time jobs.
AHEPA says the community is designed to help older adults embrace their independence with help as needed. The community features residential apartment living with the availability of personal assistance, medication administration, and various support services, including meals, housekeeping, laundry and transportation.
Certified nursing assistants will be on staff working under the direction of a licensed nurse. AHEPA says the annual payroll with benefits is expected to be more than $2 million.
“Our focus is to provide Hellenic Senior Living residents with the love, compassion and dignity they deserve and the help and assistance they need, ” said Rod Burkett, chief executive officer of of Gardant Management Solutions, which is managing the community. Our emphasis is on helping each resident achieve and maintain as much independence as possible for as long as possible.”
Residents are expected to begin moving in on Friday.
