Chamber: ‘Ready to Restart’ Grants Still Available

Subscribe NowSmall businesses needing help with funding for implementing safety measures are still eligible for “Ready to Restart” grants from a partnership between the city of Indianapolis and the Indy Chamber. The partners have used a portion of the city’s CARES Act funding to help make purchases of masks, PPE, hand sanitizing stations and more.
Phase 4 of the Back on Track Indiana plan went into effect on Friday, which meant Marion County restaurants and retailers are open up to 75% capacity. Gyms and fitness centers are now at 100% capacity, with bars and nightclubs still at 50%.
Entrepreneurs and small business owners are able to apply for grants up to $5,000. The program has already approved over $300,000.
Indianapolis businesses meeting certain criteria can apply:
- Must be a private, for-profit business with 150 employees or fewer
- Must be located and registered in Marion County
- Must have a business start date prior to 2/15/2020
- Must have purchased PPE, modified supplies (like washable menus), professional cleaning and disinfection services, and/or capital improvements as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic and to comply with the State of Indiana and Marion County Public Health Department reopening guidelines between 5/1/2020 – 7/31/2020.
Businesses are allowed to apply once, with grants being awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.
