Martin University Prepares to Reopen

The school said it will reopen campus on Monday, having instituted multiple changes in accordance with the Centers for Disease Control guidelines.
“The progressive plan we have in place allows us to responsibly remain the communiversity we are by providing quality education, secure employment, and community resources in the Martindale-Brightwood area and throughout Marion County,” said Sean Huddleston, president of Martin University.
A task force developed a plan for the reopening which includes changes to facilities, such as limited access points to buildings.
It has also instituted class size and schedule changes to provide more flexibility. The university also offering more options for virtual classes.
“As Marion County lifts restrictions in phases due to COVID-19, we want to ensure that the University is diligent in protecting the well-being of each and every person in our community,” said Huddleston.
Huddleston said the school will make PPE available, require temperature checks upon entry, and increased sanitation.
