At the same time, MonoSol is helping local restaurant owners and their staff with its “Takeout Takeover” appreciation program.
The program is designed to show appreciation for MonoSol’s workers in communities where it has production plants.
Each employee can order a carryout meal valued up to $70 at select Indiana restaurants. The company said it will also cover the tip with a 25% gratuity.
“We want to say thank you to our people for how hard they’ve been working to stay safe and healthy while also supporting other local business owners who need the help right now,” said MonoSol Chief Executive Officer Scott Bening.
Bening said staff living in other parts of the U.S., as well as Europe and Asia, will be able to participate at locally owned restaurants in their communities.
“MonoSol is an economic engine in our communities, and our employees came up with a really creative way to leverage our strength to accomplish two goals at once,” Bening said.
MonoSol intends to repeat the program several times in the coming weeks with additional local partners.
“We welcomed MonoSol into Lebanon just over a year ago and it’s amazing to see their people flourishing and quickly becoming such a critical part of the community,” said Lebanon Mayor Matt Gentry. “This is a really creative way to show appreciation and give back at the same time.”
The company produces water-soluble films for laundry and dish detergents.
