The newly-established West Central Indiana Business Hub has launched a COVID-19 Response Team as it first project.
The group is made up of organizations that already work with the business community and includes the Terre Haute Chamber of Commerce, West Central Indiana Small Business Development Center, Indiana State University – Business Engagement Center, and Launch Terre Haute, among others.
According to the organization, its two main goals are to create a centralized response team to address questions from the business community and to capture community data regarding specific concerns and financial loss.
“The Business Hub is something that has been in discussions for months, but once we began to see such a great need in the wake of COVID-19 we really pulled together to start work,” says Terre Haute Chamber of Commerce President Kristin Craig. “They say there’s strength in numbers and that’s what our community really needs right now.”
The hub says the service is available to any business in the six-county region as long as the business has fewer than 500 employees.
