Raytheon Awarded $32M Military Contract

(NYSE: RTN) has been awarded a $32 million military contract for its plant in Indianapolis. The defense contract for Raytheon Co. Intelligence, Information and Services Is a modification of a previously awarded contract.
The Department of Defense says the work will consist of software engineering, integration, avionics acquisition, as well as software management in support of the V-22 Osprey. The aircraft has the ability for both vertical takeoffs and short runway takeoffs.
The Pentagon says the work will be performed in Indianapolis and is expected to be complete by December 2021.
The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Maryland, is the contracting activity.
