“It’s just been a wild, wild week and I assume it’s probably gonna get even crazier,” said Adam Taylor, president of Trust Hardware on the northeast side of Indianapolis.
As Americans grow more nervous about the implications of the global pandemic, they worry about their ability to get staple foods and other essentials, like toilet paper, hand sanitizer and cleaning wipes.
“Monday when the governor said the restaurants were gonna close, it was an immediate switch. Everybody that wasn’t scared, all of a sudden was like, ‘Oh, we better really get prepared now,’” said Taylor.
