Coffeehouse Five is a nonprofit that sells coffee, but it also helps people who need marriage or addiction counseling.
Co-founders Brian and Michelle Peters say net revenue from coffee sales helps pay for the social services, making them free of charge for community members.
Coffeehouse Five says the profits generated since 2011 have allowed them to provide more than $200,000 worth of free marriage and addiction counseling to the community.
The owners say because the new shop in Franklin is larger than the original location in Greenwood, it intends to relocate its coffee roasting operations to the new place.
The Franklin location is located 41 West Monroe Street. The Peters say the coffee shop is also committed to supporting other local non-profit organizations with its profits.
