The goal is to increase affordable housing opportunities for low-income Marion County residents and to serve as an impetus for neighborhood revitalization.
“Each day, the INHP team faces new opportunities and challenges as we navigate the current landscape of an affordable housing supply shortage and continued high demand,” said INHP president and CEO Moira Carlstedt. “Lilly Endowment’s generosity is critical in helping us advance our mission so we can innovate, empower consumer choice and improve access to safe, decent and affordable housing.”
Some of the initiatives supported by the grant will include homebuyer education, homeownership advising and home repair loans. INHP was able to support over 200 clients in 2019, helping them qualify for mortgages and the preservation/development of over 570 affordable housing units.
