I&M to Present Check for Science, Tech Training

Subscribe NowOfficials from Fort Wayne-based Indiana Michigan Power, a subsidiary of American Electric Power (NYSE: AEP), will present a check Thursday to Purdue University Fort Wayne to support its science, technology, engineering, arts, and math programs.
The check will be given on behalf of the AEP Foundation. While the foundation did not say ahead of the presentation how much it was gifting, it did say it’s a six-figure sum.
The university says the event kicks off a three-year grant program to help teach STEAM curriculum. The money will help pay for PFW faculty to train area middle and high school teachers.
