The plan will serve as a blueprint to guide land use, housing, transportation, parks and more for Fort Wayne and Allen County, including Grabill, Huntertown, Monroeville, Woodburn, and unincorporated areas.
According to a news release from the City of Fort Wayne Community Development office, the plan will be used by community leaders to make decisions and policies to shape the region for years to come.
The organization says Lisa Dunaway, president of Muncie-based Sensible Ecology LLC, is the keynote speaker. The company website says Dunaway was an Instructor of Urban Planning at Ball State University for nearly a decade.
She’ll discuss emerging issues and trends facing communities.
There will also be a panel discussion to discuss the importance of comprehensive planning for a community.
