Subaru Reports Strong Start to 2020

Subaru of America Inc., which markets and distributes models made by Subaru of Indiana Automotive Inc. in Lafayette, is reporting the best month of January sales in the history of the company.

The company says 46,285 vehicles were sold last month, an increase of 0.5% from January 2019.

The automaker says January marks the 71^st consecutive month of 40,000+ vehicle sales.

Sales of the Outback climbed 4% while Legacy sales climbed 2.8% compared to January 2019. 

SIA in Lafayette also produces the Impreza and Ascent models. SIA began Ascent production in May of 2018.

Sales for that model climbed 12.6% from January 2019.
