With the sprinkling of holy water throughout its corridors and rooms, the new Franciscan Physician Network Crown Point Pediatric Health Center is now officially open. The $3 million facility offers more than 10,000-square-feet of space with 18 exam rooms.

Even though they’ve been seeing patients for about three weeks, administrators, physicians, and staff just this week conducted a blessing and dedication for the new, larger office.

Pediatrician Silvia Vicente said the new location “will allow us to continue meeting the needs of people in a more comfortable and functional environment.”

The practice opened in 1996 and has experienced the same growth as the surrounding community of Crown Point.

Franciscan says the new center is nearly twice the size of the previous office.

“There are more young families in the region, and they keep coming to see us because they trust us as their doctors,” said Vincente.
