A one-time Amish farm turned tourist attraction in Elkhart County will on Wednesday go to the highest bidder.
Amish Acres of Nappanee will be auctioned by Columbia City-based Schrader Real Estate and Auction Co. Schrader says the 28-acre property will be offered in 16 tracts of land.
In November, the owners of the iconic restaurant and Round-Barn Theater in Elkhart county shocked the community when the announced they were closing the 50-year-old business at the end of 2019.
Amish Acres LLC ran a multi-venue operation, including a restaurant, 62-room inn, bakery, reception hall and the 400-seat Round Barn Theatre.
The property also has two log cabins and a cider and grist mill.
