Marshall County Welcomes Broadband Investment

The designation means county and city governments have taken steps to reduce barriers that may prevent telecommunications companies from making an investment.
According to the Marshall County Economic Development Corp., officials adjusted several permit procedures.
They created a single point of contact for broadband projects. The county also committed to reviewing applications from telecom firms within ten days.
They also adopted procedures to allow for electronic signatures on documents.
“This is an example of the business-friendly policies that Marshall County has put in place to improve the quality of life for all residents,” said Jerry Chavez, president and chief executive officer, Marshall County EDC.
The city of Plymouth, the county seat of Marshall County, was named the 2019 Community of the Year by the Indiana Chamber of Commerce, citing collaborative partnerships and economic projects.
