Indianapolis-based Indiana Members Credit Union has completed its previously announced acquisition of Evansville-based Commerce Bank.

In August, IMCU announced its intentions to acquire the assets of Commerce Bank from First Light Bancorp Inc. in an all-cash transaction.

The credit union says the 2,000 Commerce Bank customers become IMCU members as part of the transition.

Commerce Bank has locations in Evansville, Clarksville and New Albany. IMCU has 131 locations throughout central and southern Indiana and assets of more than $2.2 billion.
