The Indiana Economic Development Corp. has launched the Indiana State Trade and Export Promotion program.
IN-STEP is intended to help small Hoosier businesses identify, market and sell goods in international markets.
“The IN-STEP program will open up new opportunities for small businesses to elevate their goods in the international marketplace, and in turn, position their business and our state for success on the global stage,” said Indiana Secretary of Commerce Jim Schellinger.
The IEDC says the program offers eligible companies the chance to get reimbursed for costs associated with export-related activities, like attending foreign trade shows and taking part in international trade missions.
IN-STEP will cover up to 50%, or $12,500, of export-related expenses for small Indiana companies.
The Indiana program is supported by a two-year, $660,000 grant from the U.S. Small Business Administration
