Indianapolis comes in at No. 28 as one of the most attractive cities for professionals in the IT industry.
Austin, Texas tops the list for the best city for IT staffers, followed by Seattle and San Francisco.
“With technology continuing to be a catalyst for in-demand jobs, IT professionals have an advantage of being able to choose where they can enjoy both their work and personal lives,” said Bernhard Mehl, chief executive officer of Kisi. “We produced this study as a benchmark for IT professionals to make informed decisions about the best places to further their careers, regardless of which stage it is at. Our hope is that they will be able to see how much potential there is in this industry, and which cities are driving the wheel behind its innovation.”
The roles which fall under the broad scope of an “IT Professional” includes computer and information research scientists, network architects, programmers, systems analysts, security analysts, web developers, and software developers.
