The tomato processing company calls the initiative “Red Gold: The Next Decade.”
The lieutenant governor’s office says the announcement will discuss how their collective efforts will benefit veterans and military organizations.
While the advisory is short on details, it does say the company will be joined by two national partnership organizations at the event.
Red Gold’s website says the company was created in March 1942, early on during WWII, when the federal government asked citizens to step up and help the war effort by supplying food for the troops.
According to the company, Red Gold founder Grover Hutcherson and his daughter responded to the call-for-action and rebuilt an old abandoned cannery building to can tomatoes.
