Shuttle Buses to O’Hare, Midway Shutting Down
Coach USA announced plans to shutdown its Indiana Airport service to Chicago's airports

Our partners at The Times of Northwest Indiana report the move will also eliminate 300 jobs for bus drivers and other support staff.
The publication says after a 40-year-run, the Highland-based operations of Indiana Airport Supersaver will stop running on December 31.
“It is with great sadness that Coach USA Chicago announced today the plan to cease operations for our Chicago Trolley and Indiana Airport Supersaver businesses,” said Sean Hughes, director of corporate affairs at Coach USA North America.
The bus service provided an alternative to airport passengers who didn’t want to use long-term airport parking.
The coach service is also popular for University of Notre Dame students who would use the bus line to get to the Chicago airports during major school breaks. It will also stop serving the South Bend Regional Airport.
The paper reports the bus service has faced increased competition in recent years from ride-hailing apps like Lyft and Uber. Passengers have also complained about the reliability of service, according to The Times.
