ELKHART — Elkhart County is looking for some champions and not the kind that competes on the gridiron or the hardwood.

The Vibrant Communities initiative is launching the Vibrant Champions program, which encourages residents to get involved in their communities.

Sponsored by the Elkhart County Convention & Visitors Bureau and Community Foundation of Elkhart County, the campaign calls on county residents to pledge that they will contribute positively to the area in 2020.  The goal is to increase community pride and awareness to all Elkhart County residents.  

The campaign is comprised of three categories; engagement in the community, making the county a better place to live, work, and play, and personal attributes to strive for.  

Organizers would like feedback about the program by taking a survey.

The Vibrant Communities initiative was launched in 2016. The organization created an agenda of 77 items aimed at improving the quality of life in Elkhart county.
