The City of Westfield and USA Football has announced Grand Park will host the 2020 Flag Football Championship.
The sporting event is one of the largest youth and adult flag football tournaments in the U.S. Grand Park, which has been open for six years, has also hosted the U.S. Lacrosse, USA Ultimate and USA Archery national championships.
“It confirms that the vision of Grand Park is coming to life as we see more and more elite organizations choosing the campus to host their events,” said Westfield Mayor Andy Cook. ”Witnessing athletes and spectators marvel at our world-class facility is further proof that our dream is becoming a reality.”
Grand Park says the event includes teams across 17 divisions from ages 7 to adults. The competition will draw teams from a national series of sanctioned tournaments and at-large entrants.
“We look forward to bringing the country’s top flag teams to Central Indiana next summer to conclude our nationally sanctioned tournament series,” said USA Football CEO Scott Hallenbeck.
The tournament, nicknamed “The One,” will take place July 24-26, 2020.
