The Indiana State Fairgrounds & Event Center just announced it’s adding another attraction to its year-round venue with the inaugural display of “Christmas Nights of Lights.”
The State Fairgrounds says it hired Tennessee-based Titan Light Shows Inc. to produce a light show which offers more than a million LED lights. The company says that many lights are needed to create larger-than-life trees, glowing snowflakes and dancing candy canes.
State Fair officials hope this event become a new family holiday tradition.
“The Fairgrounds has been a popular family venue for a remarkable 127 years, and we’re thrilled to host his event – especially given that it exemplifies the true holiday spirit by supporting local charities,” Indiana State Fairgrounds & Event Center’s executive director Cindy Hoye.
Hoye says organizations like The Salvation Army, Toys for Tots and Gleaners Food bank will benefit from a portion of the ticket sales.
The two-mile long drive-through light show will be on display November 8 through January 1, including holidays.
Hoye says the display will be open rain or shine every evening. Ticket sales will be available at the gate.
