Services Set For Eva Mozes Kor
Two memorial services will be held for Eva Moses Kor in August

The funeral and visitation for Eva will be held at DeBaun Funeral Home in Terre Haute. Visitation is set for Saturday, July 13 from 4-8pm EDT. The funeral service is scheduled for 10am EDT on Sunday, July 14, with burial to follow at Highland Lawn Cemetery. The family is asking that due to limited seating, the public is encouraged to attend one of the two memorial services in lieu of the funeral.
The first memorial service is scheduled for Sunday, August 4 at 2pm EDT in Tilson Music Hall on the campus of Indiana State University. The second will be held Sunday, August 18 at 2pm EDT in Clowes Hall on the campus of Butler University. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to the CANDLES Eva Kor Legacy Education Fund and/or the WFYI Ted Green Films "Eva" Education Program.
Kor and her family were taken to the Auschwitz concentration camp in 1944 where she and her twin sister Miriam were subjected to experimentation by Nazi doctor Joseph Mengele. They were among 200 twins rescued from Auschwitz in 1945. In 2017, Governor Eric Holcomb presented Kor with the state’s highest honor, the Sachem Award.
