Construction Begins on Noblesville Water Treatment Plant
Indiana American Water broke ground in June for a new treatment plant in Noblesville

Subscribe NowGreenwood-based Indiana American Water has broken ground on a new water treatment facility in Noblesville. The utility says the $18 million project also includes an additional groundwater well at a well field on the city’s north side, as well as a one million-gallon ground storage tank.
The design of the new plant will allow Indiana American Water to recycle nearly all of the water used to backwash the filters at the location. The company adds it will also be able to provide about three million gallons of filtered drinking water.
"Noblesville has consistently been one of the fastest growing of all the communities we serve around the state," said Matt Prine, president of Indiana American Water. "A high-quality source of water is a key factor for any successful community, and this project enables us to continue to meet the needs of a growing Noblesville."
Indiana American Water says the project will be completed early next year. The facility is being constructed so it can be easily expanded if future demand requires additional capacity.
The utility says it has invested more than $50 million in its water infrastructure in Hamilton County over the last decade.
