Fort Wayne-based AWS Foundation has awarded over $1.8 million in grants to 13 nonprofit organizations that help individuals with intellectual, developmental and physical disabilities in northeast Indiana.
Grant recipients include:
- Children’s Autism Center – $20,000 for treatment of children with autism and related disorders.
- Choices Coordinated Care Solutions – $35,000 for the Access Center Initiative.
- Community Choirs of Huntington County – $5,000 grant and $2,500 in dollar-for-dollar matching funds for Joyful Songsters.
- Family Voices Indiana – $30,000 for Northeast Indiana operating support.
- Fort Wayne Civic Theatre – $22,500 for three Project Lights Up! Sensory-friendly performances.
- GiveHear – $35,000 for low income, sliding scale fee hearing health clinic support.
- Goodwill Industries of Northeast Indiana – $32,050 to improve worker safety and grow mission revenue.
- Greater Fort Wayne – $22,800 over three years for two individuals with disabilities to participate in Leadership Fort Wayne each year.
- Ivy Tech Foundation – $122,160 over three years for disability services extended support program.
- NeighborLink Fort Wayne – $135,000 over three years for research, project resources, and the wheelchair ramp initiative.
- Pathfinder Services – $180,000 for operating support and $12,500 for the Summer At Last Teen Camp.
- Southwest Allen County Schools – $10,000 for professional development in trauma informed practices.
- Turnstone – $1,200,000 over two years for operating support.
