Subscribe NowNew Jersey-based ascena retail group Inc. is shutting down its Dressbarn brand and closing all locations, including 16 throughout Indiana. In a letter to customers on its website, Dressbarn says, despite ongoing efforts, the company has not been "operating at an acceptable level of profitability to sustain itself."
In a news release, ascena retail group says the move will help the company "optimize its portfolio by focusing resources on its most profitable brands." The company also operates Ann Taylor, LOFT, Lane Bryant and more.
Dressbarn says no specific timeline is set yet for specific store closures. It says store closing sales are expected.
The retailer’s Indiana locations include:
- Avon
- Edinburgh
- Evansville
- Fremont
- Fort Wayne
- Granger
- Indianapolis (three locations)
- Kokomo
- Lafayette
- Noblesville
- Plainfield
- Schererville
- South Bend
- Valparaiso
