Salesforce Signs White House Pledge

Subscribe NowTech giant Salesforce (NYSE: CRM) today in Indianapolis signed a White House Pledge to help train at least 500,000 Americans for jobs within the company’s ecosystem over the next five years. This morning’s event, which includes President Trump Advisor Ivanka Trump, is part of the customer relationship management company’s inaugural Trailblazer Day. Salesforce estimates that, along with its network of partners and customers, it will support more than three million new jobs around the world by 2022.
Salesforce’s free online learning platform Trailhead allows people to develop skills needed for positions including Salesforce administrator, developer and marketing manager. Ivanka Trump today applauded the company for what she calls a "visionary approach," adding "it is incumbent on companies to invest in their current and future workers."
Last year, Salesforce launched its Pathfinder training initiative in Indianapolis, which it has called a "game changer." The effort is a partnership with Deloitte designed to strengthen the talent pipeline in areas including software development and data management. In an interview last year with Inside INdiana Business, Senior Vice President of Global Recruiting Ana Recio said the program focuses on technical and soft skills that are valued throughout the tech industry.
In March, Salesforce announced a partnership with Fishers-based Eleven Fifty Academy on the Pathfinder Training Program. The academy is working with the company on software development training.
