New Haven Manufacturer Adding Jobs

Subscribe NowCanada-based Multimatic is expanding its New Haven operations and adding up to 75 jobs by the end of 2021. The automotive engineering and manufacturing company says it will invest over $22 million to grow in Allen County.
The company, headquartered near Toronto, makes complex mechanisms, hardware, suspension system components and more for auto manufacturers. Multimatic has more than 500 employees in Allen and DeKalb counties. It previously expanded in New Haven less than two years ago, adding 180 jobs. The new expansion will grow final assembly operations. The company says the expanded space will be fully operational by the end of 2020.
Multimatic says it is hiring for production operators, maintenance technicians, robotic/controls specialists, tool and die personnel and more.
The Indiana Economic Development Corp. offered Multimatic up to $600,000 in conditional tax credits based on the job creation plans. Northeast Indiana Works is providing hiring and training assistance, and New haven is considering additional incentives.
