MD Logistics Opens Plainfield Warehouse

Subscribe NowPlainfield-based MD Logistics has opened its fourth warehouse in the city, which is expected to create 50 jobs by the end of 2023. The move includes a $1 million investment to upgrade and equip the space to boost offerings to current customers.
The third-party logistics firm currently employs more than 300 full-time associates in Plainfield. It develops customized supply chain solutions for clients. The company says it is currently hiring for "key operational positions."
"With 23 years of business in Indiana, we continue to experience double digit growth while maintaining a quality of service our customers have come to expect from us," said Chief Executive Officer Mark Sell in a news release. "This expansion, along with the focus on customers, technology, automation and people, has us well positioned to continue to evolve and be prepared to meet the challenges the logistics industry poses."
The opening follows MD Logistics’ 2017 expansion announcement, involving the increase of storage capacity for global and domestic life sciences and medical device industry clients. That effort also included 50 new jobs.
The Indiana Economic Development Corp. offered MD Logistics up to $350,000 in conditional tax credits based on the job creation plans.
