The facility will be on the Stone Family Center for Health Sciences campus and is expected to be complete in the spring of 2020.
Mayor Lloyd Winnecke, economic development representatives and Deaconess leaders are all set to be a part of the 10:30am groundbreaking ceremony.
When the clinic was announced in August, Deaconess Chief Executive Officer Shawn McCoy said the project reflects the provider’s "commitment to providing innovative, high-quality services to the city’s center." He says many services offered in the current Deaconess Clinic Downtown facility will move to the new three-story building.
“This new building in downtown Evansville is a continuation of Deaconess’ commitment to providing innovative, high-quality services to the city’s center,” said Shawn McCoy, CEO of Deaconess Health System. “We’re glad to be part of the exciting growth and momentum of the downtown area.”
Many services and practices offered in the current Deaconess Clinic Downtown facility will relocate to the new three-story building. “We are eager to offer our patients a new, modern facility with the addition of convenient, covered parking,” said Allen White, MD, Chief Administrative Officer, Deaconess Clinic.
