The organization received a $1.48 million grant to advance opportunities in Indiana’s life sciences and healthcare sectors.
The two-year grant will allow BioCrossroads to continue their collaborative work with the Indiana Health Information Exchange, the Indiana Biosciences Research Institute and others. The grant also covers their work with 16 Tech and several STEM-related programs.
BioCrossroads President and CEO David Johnson says the Fairbanks Foundation has helped the organization with life science and healthcare work since its inception and adds the new grant will continue supporting vital initiatives.
"It will advance the work of BioCrossroads in addressing exciting opportunities for sector growth, the rising impact of disruptive technologies on both industry and academic research and development, and challenging population health issues that limit our potential for achieving genuine wellness and inclusive prosperity for our region,” Johnson said.
