Mayor Tom McDermott Jr. says residents in the Forest Avenue and Stateline Avenue areas will receive the flood insurance Wednesday. Twenty-five remaining homes and secondary structures will be removed from the Special Flood Hazard Area.
“For the second time this year, I’m excited to announce more flood relief for our residents,” said Mayor McDermott. “This has not come easy and has taken a long time to achieve this goal.”
In early May, 227 structures were removed from the Special Flood Hazard Area after engineering studies found the buildings were not at risk.
