Horizon University, which first announced its relocation from San Diego a year ago, held a ribbon cutting Wednesday to launch the Horizon South Campus in Lawrence Township.
The move received Association for Biblical Higher Education approval last year. The Christian school began in 1994 and received accreditation from the ABHE five years ago.
Founder and Chairman Emeritus Mike MacIntosh says the relocation was the beginning of a rebrand. "This move to the Indianapolis Campus allows for the future growth of Horizon University for both its students as well as future programs and offerings," he said.
Randall Dodge was appointed president of the university earlier this year, succeeding Bill Goodrich who was elected chairman of the university board.
Horizon University offers bachelor’s degrees in organizational leadership, biblical studies and leadership in ministry, along with an associate’s degree in biblical studies and certificates in chaplaincy and biblical counseling. More information on the university can be found here.
