434th ARW commander Larry Shaw says work has already begun to plan the show. “We’ve got an aggressive team working diligently to ensure we put on the best show possible.” “We’ve been laying the foundation for this event for six months already, working behind the scenes, getting paperwork in place to ensure we are doing things right.”
The Thunderbirds will be joined by other military and civilian aviation acts, along with aircraft and displays. Shaw says a website is being established to offer updates on the show, which he expects to be a big draw.
“We had an estimated 60,000 people per day for our last air show,” Hays said. “So expect a lot of our friends and neighbors to join us again.”
The 434th is the largest KC-135R Stratotanker unit in the Air Force Reserve Command. More information can be found here.
