Permit totals increased 14 percent in July, compared to the same period a year earlier. The statewide trade organization says 1,497 permits were pulled last month.
The total number of permits in July held steady, compared to June. Permit activity has increased year-over-year each July since 2015. Year-to-date, single-family building permits have increased seven percent, compared to the first seven months of 2017 and currently stand at 9,700.
