The event, which is free and open to the public, will run from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Montgomery County 4-H Building. Barton’s office says the job fair is part of a proactive effort to assist employers with talent attraction.
"Nearly every manufacturer we have met with this summer has open, unfilled positions," Barton said in a news release. "When you combine that with the recent announcement by Walmart Optical we knew we had to do something. The timing was right. The job fair is open to anyone searching for a job or career change, and hopefully will be an opportunity to assist in placement of some of the Walmart Optical employees."
Representatives from WorkOne and Ivy Tech Community College will also be on hand to help job seekers with resume writing, interviewing tips, and to provide information on educational and training opportunities.
