Manufacturing Startup Launches in Lebanon

A lawn care industry equipment manufacturer has announced plans to begin operations in Lebanon. The founders of Steel Green Manufacturing LLC say the company will specialize in stand-on, zero-turn sprayer and spreader machines.

The founders; Scot Jones, Matt Smith, Michael Floyd, Craig Coyner and Brent Mills, are all former employees of L.T. Rich Products Inc., which makes the Z-Spray product. Jones says the group has more than 100 years of combined experience in the landscape equipment industry.

The announcement continues manufacturing momentum in the Boone County city. Last month, Lebanon-based power tool manufacturer Festool announced $9.3 million plans to expand and create up to 65 jobs.
