Army Taps Raytheon For Electronic Warfare Tech

Raytheon has reduced energy consumption by 13 percent and has been a "Zero Landfill" facility since 2011.

Raytheon Co. in Fort Wayne has earned a $49 million contract modification from the United States Army. The deal involves development and maintenance for the company’s Electronic Warfare Program Management Tool, which the company says manages the use of jamming and other radio-like technologies.

The work will be conducted in Fort Wayne, with an estimated completion date of September 30, 2018. The U.S. Army Contracting Command in Maryland is the contracting activity.

On its website, Raytheon says the Electronic Warfare Program Management Tool is designed to "cut through the electromagnetic clutter" and help commanders detect, identify and manage signals. The company says it also allows users to differentiate between friendly and adversarial signals.
