The company, which provides telecommunication services to businesses in a variety of industries, has opened a manufacturing facility in Macedonia in an effort to meet the growing demands of customers throughout the world in its industrial solutions division.
A spokesperson for Telamon tells Inside INdiana Business the company is investing more than $4 million into the facility, which will create 300 jobs.
Telamon says the new facility will help the company’s growth in the European market. Telamon Industrial Solutions manufactures automotive wire harnesses, which are primarily used in automotive safety applications. The Macedonia facility will have the ability to produce 5 million units each year and ultimately expand to reach 25 million.
"We’re so thrilled to be launching our European operations out of a growing, business-friendly country like Macedonia that is so full of potential," Stanley Chen, chief executive officer of Telamon, said in a news release. "It’s the perfect blend of infrastructure and cost competitiveness that will allow us to serve our customers from Western Europe to the Middle East, and everywhere in between."
Telamon Industrial Solutions currently has North American operations in Mexico and Ohio. Those facilities produce more than 25 million harnesses annually and employ 1,250 workers.
