Emily Wilson has been appointed to the Starfish Initiative board of directors. She is vice president at Bose Public Affairs Group. Wilson is a member of the strategic communications team. She is also a member of United Way Emerging Leaders and Women United. Wilson is also active in the Public Relations Society of America Hoosier Chapter and the Indianapolis chapter of the American Marketing Association.

Wilson received her bachelor’s degree in English literature from Hanover College and her master’s degree in journalism from Indiana University. 

Starfish Initiative is a college access and readiness mentorship program serving economically disadvantaged students in Marion County. Starfish Initiative inspires, encourages and prepares these students for college and career success by pairing them with a college-educated, volunteer adult mentor who helps them navigate the college preparation and application process.
