State FFA Convention Set to Begin

The four-day event will include community service projects, awards ceremonies and the election of state officers.
Thousands of students will take part in community projects during the event, including making blankets and CANstruction projects that will be donated to Hoosiers in need. Speakers will include Lieutenant Governor Suzanne Crouch and paralympian and best-selling author Josh Sundquist.
The convention will also feature 13 Indiana FFA members interviewing to become members of the organization’s 2018-2019 state officer team. Positions available include president, secretary, northern region vice president, southern region vice president, treasurer, reporter and sentinel. The officers will be announced June 21.
