Vincennes University Names New Provost

Subscribe NowLaura Treanor will begin as provost and vice president of instructional services with Vincennes University starting June 25. She will succeed Laurel Smith, who will retire from the university. Smith has been interim provost since 2015.
Treanor previously served administrative roles for Baker College in Michigan. Before that, she worked as a professor at Roanoke College, West Virginia University and Barton College in North Carolina. Treanor received a Bachelors of Science from Virginia Tech, where she later returned to earn her doctorate. She also received a Masters of Arts at Ohio State.
At Vincennes, Treanor will serve the needs of students and faculty, and work with the president of the university to fulfill administrative needs.
