Fishers Details Final Nickel Plate Plans

The city has announced plans for a $10 million development in the district’s Municipal Drive ellipse, which it says will create "further downtown density."
The project involves the construction of a 45,000-square-foot office building, to be developed by BW Development. Crews are expected to break ground on the development this fall.
"What started as an investment in creating downtown vibrancy through the Nickel Plate District Amphitheater several years ago, is quickly growing into a destination for business, bringing investment and jobs to our city," said Fishers Mayor Scott Fadness. "The addition of this building completes the vision for the Municipal Complex to be a robust and vibrant center of business for our city and we look forward to welcoming innovative companies to locate here."
The building will be constructed on the 1.76-acre parcel, which will also include a parking lot that will be free and open to the public after 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and all weekend hours. The city says it will announce the names of companies moving operations to the building at a later date.
The Fishers City Council will consider a 10-year tax abatement for the project.
