Shelby Arts Alliance Hires First Staff Member

Subscribe NowThe Shelby Arts Alliance has hired Lindi Conover-Thompson as part-time executive director, its first staff member. She will lead and coordinate the capacity building activities of the Shelby Arts Alliance aimed at supporting existing arts programming in Shelbyville and Shelby County.
Conover-Thompson holds a Bachelor of Arts from DePauw University and a Master of Urban and Regional Planning from Ball State University. Previously, she has worked as a fundraiser and grant writer and administrator for small companies throughout Indiana as well as the Cherokee Heritage Center in Tahlequah, Oklahoma.
As Executive Director, Conover-Thompson is responsible for continuing to develop and implementing the Alliance’s strategic plan, diversify funding sources, build organizational capacity, and working with arts organizations throughout the county to make Shelby County a vibrant place to live, work, and play.
