Officials in Carmel will this evening break ground on a $10 million project at Brookshire Golf Course. The city-owned course is building a new clubhouse, pool and pool house, which are all expected to be complete by mid-December.

The city says the clubhouse will include multiple meeting rooms, including one that will hold up to 200 people and could be used for weddings, parties and corporate events. The clubhouse will also incorporate a new pro shop, snack bar and bar. 

All current facilities at the golf course will be open during construction. The groundbreaking ceremony is scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
