Larry Frutkin and his wife Emma are investing more than $5 million to open five ZIPS Dry Cleaners locations, which are expected to create up to 125 full- and part-time jobs.
The stores are set to open over the next five years with the first opening in Broad Ripple Tower on Indy’s north side this fall. The other stores will be located in various parts of the Indianapolis metropolitan area, including Carmel, Fishers and downtown Indy.
"It’s an exciting time at ZIPS as we continue to expand our brand into new markets all across the country," said Drew Ritger, chief executive officer of ZIPS. "Indianapolis is yet another region that is primed for growth, and we couldn’t be more pleased about welcoming Larry and Emma as our newest franchisees. Their significant business experience and enthusiasm give them and ZIPS a terrific opportunity to improve the dry cleaning business in the area and pass along tremendous savings to local consumers."
ZIPS currently has more than 50 locations open throughout the country and has plans for more than 250 franchise stores to open over the next several years. The brand touts its affordability with any item of clothing being dry cleaned for $2.29.
