The bank is reporting earnings of more than $38 million, while total loans grew 14 percent over the previous year.
Centier says it has plans for continued expansion in 2018. Last year, the bank opened new branches in Lafayette, Goshen, Granger and South Bend, including the location as the anchor tenant of the historic JMS Building in downtown South Bend, which reopened in September after an $8 million transformation.
“Last year, we also implemented a new Warehouse Lending program that has expanded our offerings and made our bank a stronger, more diversely-invested entity," said Schrage.
Centier says it also completed the first year of its new Community Relations and Business Development division, which oversaw sponsorships and donations to nearly 700 organizations throughout the state. Centier employees also contributed more than 13,000 hours of volunteer service.
