Construction to Begin on New Albany Hotel

Financial details of Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott were not disclosed, however One Southern Indiana says it will feature 90 rooms and 26 suites.
The hotel is owned by Floyd Host LLC, which says the location of the hotel was chosen because of its proximity to the Baptist Health Floyd and the Cancer Care Center. The groundbreaking ceremony, scheduled for 2:00 p.m., will include representatives from Fairfield Inn & Suites, the city of New Albany and 1si.
The hotel will be the latest Indiana-based Fairfield Inn & Suites to begin construction in recent months. Work began in October on similar hotels in Jasper and Franklin. Fair Oaks Farms broke ground in November on a $15 million barn-shaped hotel on its campus as well.
